Sealed bids will be received by the Rivanna Solid Waste Authority in the Administration Office conference room at the Moores Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant, 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, VA 22902 until 4:00 p.m., local prevailing time, on January 19, 2012, and then at said office be publicly opened and read aloud for the following:
Includes the cutting, demolition, and removal of a specified section of the concrete pad that serves as a vehicular approach to the Ivy Materials Utilization Center waste transfer station, followed by its replacement with a new section of concrete pad complete with flowable fill, forming, reinforced steel placement, dowels, adhesive grouting, expansion and control joints, and placement of new concrete, and other related items and all work necessary to render the repaired facilities complete and operational. Work to be performed to minimize the time in which the repaired section of pad is not operational. All work shall be as described in the project manual and shown on the drawings.
The foregoing description shall not be construed as a complete description of all work required.
The Owner will not consider any bid unless the bidder produces evidence that it is duly licensed and registered in accordance with Title 54.1, Chapter 11 of the Code of Virginia.
